If you're down with the kids like I am you'll know what a 'Karen' is. You're not? Oh dear, well here goes a quick introduction:
Karen is a pejorative term for a white woman perceived as entitled or demanding beyond the scope of what is normal. The term is often portrayed in memes depicting white women who use their white privilege to demand their own way. Source: Wikipedia
Anyway, I was in the Mcdonald's restaurant on Upper New St at around 5pm yesterday (Sunday 17th July), when this obnoxious woman pushed her way to the front of the queue complaining that her Chicken Nuggets weren't hot enough. The staff member without a moment's hesitation replaced the nuggets with a fresh batch. The woman grabbed the nuggets and marched off without a simple thank you.
Manners cost nothing, Karen!
Once you know what a Karen is, you'll see them wherever you go.
