My BPL Chronicles - Part Two

Updated: May 9, 2022

First things first, I needed to book swimming at Metrodome for the full family. Something that had previously cost me a King's Ransom was now free and I felt like a kid in a sweetshop.

Being a Yorkshireman I felt compelled to maximise the benefits of my new membership and quickly started to look for wider-opportunities. The booking of 2 games of Bowling, once again for the full family, quickly followed. Kerching! we were cooking on gas. What could I get my hands on next?

Swimming and bowling came and went. Most enjoyable. Done it all before, but it's even better when it's free.

My eldest lad booked himself in for Junior Gym at Dorothy Hyman. Following a quick induction by a lovely chap called Mick, he was free to train on his own.

It just kept getting better. We were in week two now and a second Swimming and Bowling combo had been and gone. I know the day will come when these lot would get bored of it, but that time was not now, they were all still fully engaged. The Family Leisure Pass comes with a 12 month contract, so I knew I had to to keep it interesting.

Week three and I still haven't done anything on my own. Two or three goes on the green slide and bobbing about in the pool for an hour was not having the desired effect. I was still fat.
